Doctor Corsi, who was the keynote speaker, is the co-author of the New York Times Bestseller “Unfit for Command”, and the author of “The Late Great USA”. Doctor Corsi, who also happens to be a member of the party, spoke about the effects of NAFTA and the dangers to American sovereignty coming down the pike by corporate and political leaders who are working to create a North American Union, a merger of the United States, Mexico and Canada. Constitution Party National Chairman, Jim Clymer, spoke about the differences between our party and the “Big box parties”. He spoke about how “People in the Constitution Party are a diferent breed” and how it is the third largest political party in the US with approximately 400,000 registered voters nationwide. He also said “We have principles in our platform and have people commited to it”, unlike many of the “Big box” politicians who don’t even follow their own partys platform or their promises. Clymer also quoted the French writer Alexis de Tocqueville, who after visiting America in 1831, said, "Not until I went into the churches of America and heard her pulpits flame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power. America is great because America is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great!". Clymer also spoke about the current economic recession and forecasted it to be deep and tumultuous The only positive result about the forthcoming hardships for our country is that people will begin to join the party as more and more people become aware of how the Deomocrats and Republicans have led the American People astray. At the convention, local party coordinator Joseph A. Lypowy, was appointed as a Presidential Elector. New Jersey has 15 Electors representing each party. |
